Going Back to School with President's Choice

It's here. The day you've been waiting for dreading for the last 9 weeks. It's the day they go back to school.

Another 10 months of begging your kids to eat something for breakfast.

Another 10 months of meticulously packing lunches that come home uneaten.

Another 10 months of, "Is dinner ready yet? I'm staaaaaarving!"

Another 10 months of "I'm a vegetarian now" and "my best friend is gluten free and he's coming over after school", and, "I told my teacher that you would provide the snacks for our class party tomorrow."

Kinda makes their mantra of the past 9 weeks, "What are we going to do today?" seem like a walk in the park, huh?

Luckily, Loblaws feels your pain and created a slew of new products designed to alleviate your back-to-school stress, nutritionally speaking.

Recently, I had my nieces over and together with my children, we test drove a whole whack of these products.  Here are some of our favorites...in no particular order.

I had them at cookies for breakfast. When served with some fruit & a glass of milk, they're the yummiest start to days you're running late.
Billy's favorite. He would eat these for breakfast, lunch, and dinner if he could.  I am pretty sure he did for about a week,
given how quickly the package disappeared.

Kate's favorite: Greek Yogurt with Honey and fresh berries.

In those dark hours between lunch and dinner, baby carrots dipped in hummus are the perfect protein-packed belly-filler.
Alexis's favorite: The Greek Yogurt Mango smoothie.  Why? Because she loves mangoes and she loves smoothies.
'Nuff said.
My personal favorite.  My family would probably like it too...if they knew we even had it. Trust me when I tell you that a spoonful of this little taste of heaven will make all your back-to-school stresses disappear.

So that's it. A taste of what's new with President's Choice. But trust me when I tell you that I've just scratched the surface of what's available.  For more yummy ideas, check out pc.ca or pop into your local Loblaws, No Frills, Real Canadian Superstore, or Valumart.

Have a great day at school!
