What I believe:

As many of you know, I am firm believer of karma and b'sheret, the Jewish belief of fate and destiny.  I also believe that there is one real Highest Power taking care of us all, with the help of a whole bunch of personal guardian angels, such as my Dad. I find the idea of some person or power guiding me down the right path of life…comforting.  Because of this, I am acutely aware of "signs" letting me know I'm heading in the right directions.  Like a spiritual GPS. I could elaborate and give dozens of examples, but you might think I'm nuts. Or more nuts than you already think I am.

What I don't, or didn't believe in, is daily horoscopes. While I may be romantic, kind, gullible,  indecisive, flirtatious, and seek fairness and justice like all other card-carrying Librans.  it just doesn't seem feasible that the 1/12 of the world's 7 billion people that share my sign, could possibly share my daily fate.

But still, I occasionally read my daily horoscope, trying to decipher what my future may hold.

This is what it says today:

Your Week Ahead: Sometimes, our problems seem as if they are going to go on forever. We look at what's wrong, what we wish we could change, what we yearn for, what we must accept - and we start to feel sad. Yet all situations change, and improvements are never as far as we fear. There's a road that leads from where you are now to a happier future. It's the road of faith, fortitude and forgiveness. Start walking bravely down it and a happier destination will see the effort you are making and start coming forward to meet you. Now, the rare "Supermoon" promises a life changing weekend. Make sure your life changes in the best possible way.

Make sure my life changes in the best possible way.

That's while its in the cards for my life to get better, its up to me to make it happen.

Seriously?

Whoever wrote this MUST read my blog and MUST know that I'm a Libra and MUST know that I believe in karma and b'sheret and guardian angels.  That's the only explanation I can think of.

And so, today I got up, wiped my eyes, made my kids fresh cheese croissants, changed the knobs on my kitchen cabinets, planted a couple of tomato plants, and laced up my running shoes so I can run, not walk down that road to a happier future.

What do you think?
