Buy me some peanuts and Cracker-jacks...

…and I don't care if I never get back.

I love sports.

Let me rephrase that.

I love watching sports.

Let me rephrase that.

I love watching live sports.  Like hockey, basketball, and most of all,

There's just something about leaving the ballpark, utterly exhausted, after my team wins.  Stuffed from a footlong hotdog and popcorn. Sticky from a grape slushy. Sweaty and red because there wasn't a cloud in the sky and the dome was open and the sun was shining down on my unprotected skin.

In this age of unrefined sugar, unprocessed foods, and SPF 1 000 000, that may not the most politically correct message. But I don't care.

Tomorrow I will go back to my wild trout and quinoa salad, locally-grown fruit, and sunblock.

But today, I am hot and sticky and full and sunburned and tired and happy.

  1. Looks like fun - I think we'll be taking our kids to their first major league game this summer. I never went as a kid and only a few times as an adult, so it will be an experience, not just for the kids, but for me too!

  2. must have been a jays game... great park.
