Some very important child-rearing advice.

So I don't usually post twice in a day (or in an hour) but this idea just occurred to me, both through experience and one of the books I am currently reading.
Maya's choice for breakfast (that she made herself):  Nutella and smoked salmon on crackers.

As much as possible, let your children make their own decisions, even when you know they are wrong.  Don't ever let them feel guilty because they are not making the same choice you would.
Let them make their own mistakes, they will learn more from their failures than they will from their successes.
