53 Days to NYC

So my first day running since starting back at school. And believe me, not easy. My calf muscles were so sore from standing in heels all day and then to stretch them even more when going up hill? Brutal! And I thought it would start to cool by the time I started running but no way! When I finished up my 5k at the No Frills (a regular route of mine...I end there so I can then grocery shop for dinner on the way home), I actually apologized to the guy shucking corn next to me for my profuse sweating.

When you are pressed for time, there is nothing wrong with shake n bake chicken fingers. That's all I gotta say.

Oh yeah, also, made this on the side. It is the best corn & bean salad recipe EVER! Perfect for potlucks & bbqs because it is even better the next day and travels well (read: nothing like mayonnaise in it to spoil):

Finished The Beach House. Definitely the "feel good" book of the summer I needed to end my summer reading. I can so see this one as the Hallmark movie-of-the-week. But in a good way.
