66 Days to NYC

You'll notice that I did not post anything for 67 days to NYC. Ummmm. Yeah...

Running:
You would be very proud of me. Even in the middle of nowhere, literally, I ran. Snaps for me. We stayed at Turning Stone casino outside of Utica, NY on our way to the city and shockingly, they had a fitness trail around the perimeter of the property. Ran it three times. Thats right, uh huh. And I felt extra-hot while doing it as the majority of the patrons of that fine establishment play in slot tournaments in smoky casinos (they are the ones contributing the smoke) for a living. And in between the tournaments, they have side bets with their fellow gamblers about who can eat more at the buffets.

Recipe:
Was doubly proud of myself for not yet partaking in the usual grease-fest I partake in on road trips. Had a lovely turkey sandwich for a post-running meal and grilled chicken-no cheese, no mayo-at our McD's break in driving. And their chipotle bbq sauce ain't that bad.

Reading:
Re-read the NY Times summer reading guide to try to spark some interest. Just can't seem to get out of this reading funk. Now I really want to read A Happy Marriage and The Story Girls. Maybe I can convince Len to go with me to a bookstore on our way back to T. Dot. Although I think I have used up all of my "go to the bookstore" coupons for this summer.
